BRES has the required experience and infrastructure for the collection, processing and disposal of IT equipment which precludes any start-up costs. We have established partnerships with other asset management companies putting us in a strong position nationally. Further, we have established outlets for the refurbished equipment both locally and abroad.
The WEEE directive seeks to increase recycling and recovery of electrical waste and IT equipment. Being in the recycling field and having experience of refurbishing computer equipment predating the transposition of WEEE directive into UK law, we are fully conversant with the requirements of WEEE. Indeed we are in a strong position to help the corporate and manufacturing sector meet their specific WEEE obligations by taking on the disposal of their IT waste.
On the tyre recycling front, we provide a cost effective collection and disposal service to our clients in the automotive industry. We relieve them of the burden of tyre disposal which is governed by the Landfill directive. Landfilling of tyres was banned in 2006, putting the onus for disposal on the producers of this waste.
